OneMBA teams complete the Greenpower Hike challenge
Two determined teams of OneMBA Hong Kong Alumni faced the challenge in this year’s Greenpower Hike 2012 on the beautiful Hong Kong Trail. The teams proudly carried the OneMBA brand on their custom made jerseys - a coproduction by Daily Lam 2007 and Catherine Chan of the CUHK program office.
Luckily the weather on the race day was overcast with ideal temperatures and only patches of mist. The course led participants to experience Hong Kong’s beautiful country parks and nature reserves while testing the teams’ physical and mental endurance. At the finish line Catherine Chan, Adrian Tam 2010 and family members cheered-on and warmly welcomed the teams.
Both teams finished in respectable 37th place within their respective categories:
- The “OneMBA Team 10k” comprised of Alice Chung 2009, Annie Kwan 2007, Fanny Ching 2007, Grace Chong 2007 completed the 10 km on the trail section 4 in 02:25:45.
- The “OneMBA Team 25k” comprised of Brian Zee 2010, Ping Kwan Lai 2011, Roddy Ropner 2008, Stephan Trieb 2010 completed 25 km on the trail sections 5-8 in 05:05:33.
At the dinner following the race all participants agreed to come back next year in order to either improve their finishing time or even step up to the next higher distance category.
